Design that performs, Engineering that works.

Journey

H2S Engineers Inc. was founded in 2013 in Anaheim, California, by mechanical and electrical engineers dedicated to practical, buildable MEP design. What began as a small, service-driven practice has grown into a mid-sized engineering firm supported by a 24/7 local-and-offshore delivery model. We’ve maintained over 80% repeat work by committing to one approach: partnering with our clients from the first scope discussion to the final phase of construction.

Who We Are

H2S Engineers is a full-service MEP consulting firm with deep expertise across healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential, and institutional projects.

As a WBENC-certified firm, we are a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing specialists delivering comprehensive MEP design services — from feasibility studies and Title 24 compliance to construction documents, permitting support, and field coordination.

Our team of 15+ professionals brings proven experience in HVAC systems, power distribution, lighting and controls, plumbing systems, medical gas, low-voltage design, and energy compliance — ensuring practical, high-performance solutions from concept through construction.

Approach

Our Approach: The 3Cs – Clarity, Coordination, and Common Sense.

Every project is unique, and our approach is customized to ensure its success. We follow a disciplined yet practical methodology built around the 3Cs: Clarity, Coordination, and Common Sense.

1. Clarity – Know the Project

Success begins with a deep understanding of the project.

We take the time to understand:

  • The client’s goals and expectations
  • Budget constraints
  • Schedule requirements
  • Operational processes

Clear understanding at the outset allows us to align design decisions with the project’s true objectives.

2. Clarity – Start with the Right Foundation

For remodel projects, thorough site investigation is critical to uncover existing conditions and avoid surprises.

For new construction, early and consistent communication with the team establishes direction and prevents misalignment.

A strong start sets the tone for the entire project lifecycle.

3. Coordination – Stay Engaged in the Process

MEP does not exist in isolation. Our systems impact other trades, and their work impacts ours.

We take a practical, common-sense approach by:

  • Reviewing progress sets regularly
  • Participating in online coordination meetings
  • Providing proactive input to other disciplines
  • Actively incorporating feedback from trade partners

This collaborative effort tightens the design, reduces conflicts, and minimizes change orders.

4. Quality Control – Internal Review & Page Turns

Quality is not optional. Regardless of project size, we implement:

  • In-house quality control reviews
  • Structured page-turn sessions
  • Cross-discipline checks

This process ensures accuracy, coordination, and consistency before documents are issued.

5. Coordination – Managing the Plan Check Process

Plan check is often one of the most overlooked aspects of the design process.

We:

  • Stay actively engaged with plan reviewers
  • Communicate directly with plan checkers when needed
  • Respect and follow jurisdictional processes

By managing this phase proactively, we reduce uncertainty and minimize delays.

6. Common Sense During Construction

Design does not end at permit.

We remain active during construction by:

  • Responding to RFIs promptly (same day when possible)
  • Reviewing submittals quickly to keep contractors moving
  • Conducting periodic site visits
  • Monitoring progress to ensure alignment with design intent

Timely communication keeps the project on schedule and reduces costly field issues.

7. Completion – It’s Not Done Until It’s Done

We stay engaged through:

  • Project closeout
  • Record drawings
  • Final punch walkthroughs
  • Required commissioning support

A project is only complete when it performs as intended and meets the client’s expectations.

At H2S, our goal is to provide economical, practical, and technically sound solutions by integrating the latest advancements in MEP design and construction. We take pride in being early adopters of new technologies and delivering consistent value to our clients.

We welcome engineers who value precision and teamwork.

We value accountability, transparency, and technical excellence while supporting continuous learning and staying ahead of codes, technologies, and energy standards.
